Can anyone tell me stories of crash diets you tried that DIDN’T work?

food answers:

Crash diets do not work either….only temporary. Then you gain it all back and then some.
Just eat until you get full and stop then. Your body will take the hint and you will start losing the weight. Excercise alot and watch what you drink. Alot of drinks have alot of sugar and sugar turns into calories. You have to change your whole life attitude around in order to stick with it.
But as far as crash diets, just eat very, very little and stop when you are full. Good luck!

What’s a really good crash diet that has worked for you?

I have a big event coming up in 2 months, I already exercise everyday and eat pretty healthy, but would like to lose 15 -20 lbs. What’s your best secrets for cutting back on food intake? Thanks

If you are set on going on a crash diet, the thing that worked really well for me was sugar free jello. I lived off of it for a summer. I lost soo much weight. The whole pan is only like 40 calories.

Have you ever been on a diet? And what do you think of diets?

I read that 80% of 10-year-old girls in the USA go on a diet. I think that‘s terrible. Unless you are overweight and have been told so by your doctor, or you have a certain disease where you need to be on a specific diet, I think that no one should be on a special diet. You should just eat healthfully and exercise.

I especially dislike crash diets or diets where you cut an entire food group or something like proteins or carbs from your diet. They don’t work. You might lose weight at first, but you gain it all back.

Anyways, on to the questions…

1. Have you ever been on a diet?
2. If so, what diet was it?
3. Did your diet work?
4. Do you think that diets are a good thing or a bad thing?
5. Would you ever go on a diet?
6. Do you agree that making a lifestyle change to eat heathier and exercise is better than any other diet out there?

I’m a recovering anorexic, so I was technically on a diet for two years straight. I lost 40 pounds, although I gained and lost, gained and lost throughout my “diet.”

1. Have you ever been on a diet?
~ Yes.

2. If so, what diet was it?
~ It started out with fasting, then the ABC diet, then the 1000-calories a day diet. After a while I started going lower than 1000 calories. I also exercised obsessively and spent at least two hours, if not more, at the gym or outside running, every day.

3. Did your diet work?
~ Did it make me thin? Yes. I reached 97 pounds. Did it make me confident and happy? Not at all.

4. Do you think that diets are a good thing or a bad thing?
~ A terrible, ghastly thing. A healthy lifestyle is the only “good” diet.

5. Would you ever go on a diet?
~ Not again.

6. Do you agree that making a lifestyle change to eat heathier and exercise is better than any other diet out there?
~ Yes, and I know this out of experience. Crash dieting only made my body weaker. I could have died.

~ Alright. I woke up at 2 pm today, which is really late for me.

BQ2: Have you gone swimming yet this summer?
~ I’m scared of the water. :S

BQ3: What is your biggest goal for the summer?
~ Be happy! And have a great summer, enjoy my new experiences and finish writing a story I’ve been on since November.

Nope. They are dangerous and don’t work, you gain the weight back. You need to lose it the right way. Be smart.
